Not sure why you're posting this on my blog, but since you did, I'll comment.
I DISAGREE. I think it's great when people suggest matches. Shadchans aren't all that. And sometimes it's the somewhat "blind" dates that bring the best results.
And if you don't know how to cook, you most definitely belong in the kitchen, since you should be learning ;).
